| cleaning the house is like a trip to the past, present and future. I re-discovered old stuff which brought mixed emotions, I had a headache on how and where to re-organize the stuff, and I dreamed of a renovated or better yet a new house where I can store everything where I want, it left me with the feeling that I don't know what to do now and what to do next, and worse... time is running out

| The New York Yankees are the World Series Champions for the 27th time in franchise history.
The Bronx Bombers captured the 2009 World Series Championship by defeating the defending champions Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 in Game 6 to win the series 4-2. Hideki "Godzilla" Matsui owned Pedro Martinez with a giant homer plus 6 RBI's(3 HR 8 RBI overall) to win World Series MVP honors. What a huge game for Matsui as he became the first Japanese World Series MVP and the first full-time DH to win the award. His future is unsure with his contract coming to an end, although he loves New York and certainly New York loves him back.
The baseball season ended with the best team throughout the season on top. Its the Yanks first title since winning the Subway Series at the start of the decade. The 4 remnants of that dynasty played big as usual, Captain Jeter towed the team all the way becoming the franchise leader in hits, Jorge Posada, the ever reliable catcher, Andy Pettite, who contemplated retirement before the season ended the season with the World Series trophy in his hands and became the winningest (18 wins) post-season pitcher of all-time and the most series clinching wins doing the trick in all three rounds this year. and closer Mariano Rivera (most post-season saves, most innings pitched in the World Series) didn't miss a beat and looked like he could keep going for another five years. A-Rod finally became a champion and played like one, he finally came through in the post-season leading the team with a 365 average, six homers, 18 RBIs, 15 runs and 12 walks. Johnny Damon made the play of the series on pivotal Game 4 and showed he still got legs. The expensive new signings also played well, ALCS MVP CC Sabathia was a true ace, Burnett won Game 2, Tex was inconsistent but was there. A lot of flak will come with the big spending Yanks (a $201 M payroll) buying this championship, but all pro teams pay salary to their players so literally, every team buys its way to a championship. Its the 7th title under the Steinbrenner era. This one was for the boss.
I wonder if Manager Joe Girardi would switch to #28 for next season LOL
The Phillies, nothing to be ashamed of for the NL Champions. They were a worthy opponent and got a chance to defend their title be the first NL team in 33 years to retain the World Series. But ultimately, they got beaten by the better team. Charlie Manuel got it wrong by not starting Cliff Lee (4-0, 2-0 World Series) on the series turning point 4th game. NLCS MVP Ryan Howard set a dubious record of most K's in the World Series. Chase Utley was Mr. Phillie as he kept them in the series numerous times. Cole Hamels was not the same man who won was their Series MVP a year ago. Piece of advice to Jimmu Rollins, just keep your predictions (Phillies in 5) to yourself next time LOL
What a great first season for the 114 game winners at new ($1.5 B ballpark) Yankee Stadium.
Baseball signing off... see you in Spring!

| The Bronx Bombers are one win away from their 27th World Series Championship
Tied game 4-4 at top of the 9th, Yanks scored three runs that broke the back of the fighting Phillies (who came back hitting solo homeruns in the 7th and the 8th to tie the game) to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best of seven series
A-Rod coming through in the post-season (that has never been said before)
Sandman with an 8 pitch inning for the save
Burnett (3 days rest) vs. Lee in Game 5 tomorrow @ Citizens Bank Park, Yanks better figure out Lee this time or else...

| Bronx Bombers tie series with a 3-1 victory in Game 2 of the 2009 MLB World Series. Series shifts to Philadelphia for Game 3 Saturday. Go Yankees!
Burnett win the win. Sandman with the save. Matsui with the winning homer. A-Rod still out. Pedro the loser in his return to Yankee Stadium. Pettite vs. Hamels next.
